Returning for an Supercar Series – Part 2
Audi PB-18 E-Tron
Audi PB-18 E-Tron Also known as AI: RACE, this electric supercar blends the layout of a coupé, and the overall profile of an exotic EV into one. Unveiled at the Pebble Beach Automotive Week, this sports car is powered by 3 electric motors, one in front and two at the back, with a combined 671 horsepower. What makes PB-18 special is its interchangeable driving positions. Like a sporting car, the steering wheel is placed in the center but can be moved on either side depending on the user’s preference. The price and production time of the Audi PB-18 E-Tron model are, however, still a mystery.
Renault |
Renault Trezor This vehicle is a two-seater electric concept car built by Renault and was launched in 2016 during the Paris Motor show. Its ultra-low drag carbon fiber bodywork contains a smooth satin finish, with distinct hexagonal facets and a unique red-tinted wrap-around the windscreen. The Renault Trezor has no conventional doors; instead, it has a whole roof canopy that lifts to allow entrance. The Trezor’s electric motor is derived from Renault’s Formula-E race car and has an output of 350hp that grants it a rapid sub 4 seconds 0-60 mph sprint. Battery charge is regained in under 15 minutes, thanks to the RESS system developed for Formula-E. This car is proof of what the French manufacturer is capable of in the field of autonomous driving.
