Mercedes-Benz Vision AVTR At number one, we have a car concept Inspired by the movie Avatar. Drawing heavily from the Banshee design of the original avatar movie, the Mercedes-Benz Vision AVTR concept, short for Advanced Vehicle Transformation. With a low-slung, four-door sports car design, the exterior is mechanical, but it also attempts to mimic the breathing and movement of Banshee.

According to Mercedes, you can place your hand on the central controller while the vehicle reads your pulse or kick back and enjoy the massive main screen that lets you virtually travel to wherever you want- be it in Pandora or somewhere here on Earth. Mercedes says the Vision AVTR produces 470 horsepower and offers an estimated driving range of up to 435 miles, along with a sideways movement of up to 30 degrees using something called “crab movement” for maximum mobility.

Granted, this is all still a far flung, futuristic concept, and it’s not clear yet how Mercedes wants to bring any of this to production, but the automobile giant is clear about it – the vision AVTR is coming sometime in the future.
